While I’m going through years of concert drawings, slowly updating the website,, some concerts struck differently. Die Nerven was one of them.

It was the gig after I decided to draw every concert I go to. Maybe that’s one reason it took me so long to start and finish this  one— how do you capture the raw energy of a performance that unfolds not only on stage but throughout the audience? So often at a gig, all you want to do is dance, yet you end up tapping your shoe, swaying your hips just enough not to bump into your neighbours. The front rows, though, were different — a small very energetic dancefloor opened up, recalling past times. It was absolutely beautiful.
