All You Pretty Gigs
Drawing (and painting) every gig visited since September 2014.
Kerstin Kary has transferred the genre of courtroom drawing to that of concert portraits. But instead of the leaden atmosphere of courtrooms, she captures the dynamic tension on the stages of clubs and concert halls in graphite. The stage is a diorama for Kerstin Kary, in which musicians, instruments and light are constantly re-formed. In this way, the drawings put the sound into the picture, they celebrate the music.
